Snow bunny

We finally got some snow on Monday. Hudson woke up, looked out the window and could hardly contain her excitement. I had already gotten the call that school was cancelled for the day and Hudi got to spend the day home with us! Pa promised that they would go sledding after work and that's all she would think and talk about all day! So come 5 o'clock she was all bundled up and ready to go!

They had a blast! I think Hudson wants it to snow every day now.

Snow Day

 

No school today because we finally got some snow here! Hudi is very excited to get some snow play time in later this afternoon.

She colored some Valentine's cards this morning, ate lots of spaghetti for lunch, and watched a little Horseland during quiet time.

We will post some pictures later of the snow shenanigans!

Rock Chalk!!

Hudi rocked her KU outfit before the big game last Saturday against MU.

She claims that she likes both the tigers and the jayhawks. The tigers prevailed this weekend but at least Hudi looked adorable cheering for her jayhawks. She even broke out the chant at the end of the game despite the fact that we lost. Gotta love that girl!

 

It's ok though. We have a rematch in a few weeks and I'm confident it'll be a great game! Rock chalk jawhawk, GO KU!

Summer Wrap Up

Sorry I have been gone for a while. Summer has been busy! So without further ado, here is our summer!

Popcorn eating with Pa right before the firework. Most of the night she was singing Katy Perry's "Fireworks" and running around like a wild child! She certainly had a blast and LOVES fireworks!

We spent lots of time on the deck and ate some s'mores! Lots of grilling and dance parties too!

 She has learned so much riding this summer! She has learned how to control her horse and trot. I am so glad that we have found something that she truly loves! Thank you Cindy for being such a great teacher!

We had a great summer! Lots of day hanging out in the pool and sunkissed skin! Now it's back to school. She is so excited!

Hudi started riding lessons two weeks ago. These pictures are from her first lesson.

 

She is doing great! She has been a listening really well so far and enjoys it so much!!

 

After her lessons, she puts away all of her gear and brushes the horse.

She finishes her lesson by brushing Willy and thanking Miss Cindy. She can't wait to go back next Saturday!

My Garden Gnome

  

We have our first piece of broccoli! Yay! Our peppers, tomatoes, and tomatillos all have buds so that is also good news!

My little gardener. She loves her garden and is very attentive to it. She was pulling out weeds today.We are ready for some yummy veggies from our garden!
